ABOUT US
Well Pet Animal Hospital was established in 2013 by Dr. David Wellington and Martha Baquero; both animal lovers since childhood and professional animal caregivers for over 20 years. Both have dedicated most of their life to provide exceptional care to animals and have taken an active role in educating pet owners on the care of their pets.
Dr. David Wellington
Owner - Veterinarian Dr. Wellington earned an Associates degree in Applied Sciences and Veterinary Technology from the State University of New York at Alfred and moved on to Tuskegee University in Tuskegee, Alabama to complete his pre-veterinary studies in animal science. Subsequently, Dr. Wellington obtained his veterinary medicine degree from Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine.
After taking a year to work in shelter medicine, private and corporate owned veterinary practices, Dr. Wellington completed a post-doctoral training program at the Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut. Dr. Wellington is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and is a USDA-certified veterinarian. |
Martha Baquero
Practice Manager - Veterinary Technician Martha’s love and commitment to provide high quality care to animals led her to pursue and acquire an Associate in Applied Science and Veterinary Technology degree in 2005 from LaGuardia Community College in Long Island City, New York.
For eight years, prior to relocating to New Jersey, Martha worked in various capacities at the North Shore Animal League America in Long Island, New York. She worked in their adoption department as a kennel associate and in their animal medical center as an emergency care and isolation ward veterinary technician. |
Alicia White
Costumer Service Representative As our receptionist, Alicia works hard to ensure all of our clients and patients receive the best services on the phone and front desk. She helps with many things around the hospital, including greeting clients, answering phones and maintaining organized patient's records.
Alicia is an exceptional receptionist whose love for animals and her fantastic costumer service skills makes her an asset to our team. |
Ariel Campos
Veterinary Assistant Ariel began working at Well Pet during the Fall of 2023. Ariel’s passion for animals and medicine led her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. She takes pride in being an advocate for animals and ensuring that they receive the care they need.
Ariel has always wanted to work with animals and is currently pursuing an education in Veterinary Technology to earn her license. |
