FLYING WITH YOUR PET

Did you know that taking your pet on a flight will require a health certificate?

As a USDA certified veterinarian, Dr. Wellington can issue both domestic and international health certificates.

A health certificate is a signed document your veterinarian gives you after a full physical exam. This document states that your pet is healthy to fly.

There's two types of health certificates:
  • Domestic (flights within the US)
  • International (flights to other countries). Every country has their own requirements at the port entry, therefore you as a pet owner are responsible to gather all the information, bring additional documents and tell your veterinarian what the country requires. Please visit: https://www.aphis.usda.gov/aphis/pet-travel , go to "Choose your destination country", select country and click on View Requirements.
