PRESCRIPTION REFILL POLICY
We are happy to refill your pet's  prescription for you. Unfortunately, this is NOT an automatic process. We are always working hard to meet you and your pets needs efficiently, and while a prescription may seem like a simple task, that simply is not the case. We receive so many prescription refill requests both in office and from outside pharmacies that we would be unable to perform daily tasks such as appointments and treating patients if we took the time to address each prescription as they arrive.
In order to process your request as quickly as possible we do ask that all clients adhere to our refill policy as follows:

IN-HOUSE PRESCRIPTION REFILL REQUESTS
Please give our staff 48 hours when requesting a refill. All prescription requests, whether for in-house or a  written prescription, will require minimum 48 hours notice for approval allowing us to get them ready. 

Some prescriptions will require an examination of your pet prior to re-filling. We must have a current exam within the last year in order to fill prescriptions. This ensures that your pet is healthy enough to handle the potential side effects of some prescriptions and provides further confirmation that the medication is appropriate for your pet’s current condition.

We are not able to call prescriptions into any pharmacy (due to the overwhelming amount of prescription requests we receive every day). You can request a written prescription if you want to use your local pharmacy, but please keep in mind that a 48 hours notice is required.

ONLINE & OUTSIDE PHARMACY PRESCRIPTION REQUESTS
Approval of online and outside pharmacies prescription requests can take 5-7 days. We understand that there are many reasons why our clients may want to purchase medications from online retailers or outside pharmacies instead of directly from us. To assist you in making the most informed decision for your pet, we want to be very clear that we recommend that you purchase products only from properly accredited and certified veterinary pharmacies. However, if you choose to purchase medications from another source we want to give you that option.

We will not not approve any medication via email or by phone. All pharmacies MUST send a prescription request via email to wellpetrecords@gmail.com.
